US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of the generic design control document for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, allowing for changes to the reactor coolant system vacuum fill and inspections, tests, analyses, and acceptance criteria for containment floodup.
