US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, allowing a departure from the certification information of the generic AP1000 design control document for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, and issuing License Amendment Nos. 125 and 124 to the Combined Licenses for the plant's construction and operation.
