FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company to Receive Exemption from NRC for Modified Fence Toppings at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has announced a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for a proposed exemption to allow FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company to use vertical barbed wire fence toppings in certain sections of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, despite violating NRC regulations.
