NRC Considers Amendments to Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant Licenses

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering amendments to the operating licenses of the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP), Unit Nos. 1 and 2, owned by Vistra Operations Company LLC (Vistra OpCo), to address safety concerns related to two battery cells on CPNPP Unit No. 1, Train B. The proposed amendments would extend the completion time for repairs from 2 hours to 18 hours.
