PTAB Revises Rules for Patent Review Proceedings Following SAS Institute Inc. v. Iancu Decision

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has updated its rules for patent review proceedings, including inter partes review (IPR), post-grant review (PGR), and the transitional program for covered business method patents (CBM), in response to the U.S. Supreme Court's SAS Institute Inc. v. Iancu decision. The revised rules aim to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the review process, eliminating certain presumptions and providing more flexibility for patent owners and petitioners.
