SEC Amends Rule on Confidential Treatment of Consumer Financial Information

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has finalized a rule amendment to clarify the confidential treatment of records and information obtained from individuals in connection with consumer financial law enforcement actions, as mandated by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
