Modification of Rules To Codify New Procedure for Non-Federal Public Safety Entities To License Federal Interoperability Channels
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted changes to its rules to align with a recent modification by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), streamlining the process for non-federal public safety entities to obtain licenses for federal interoperability channels. This change enables the FCC to grant licenses to non-federal public safety entities seeking to operate on forty federal government interoperability channels over which NTIA has jurisdiction.
