FDA Adopts Geopolitical Entities, Names, and Codes Standard

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is adopting the current version of the Geopolitical Entities, Names, and Codes (GENC) Standard on December 17, 2020, to ensure compliance with U.S. Government naming and recognition policies, and to enable information exchange with other government agencies.
