Coast Guard Proposes Modified Operating Schedule for 79th Street Bridges in Miami, FL

The US Coast Guard is proposing a new operating schedule for the East and West 79th Street Bridges in Miami, FL, to reduce vehicular traffic congestion caused by frequent bridge openings. The proposed schedule would have the bridges open twice an hour between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
