Treasury to Require Electronic Funds Transfer for Federal Payments, with Exemptions

The Department of the Treasury is amending its regulation to require recipients of Federal nontax payments to receive payment by electronic funds transfer, with certain exemptions, including individuals born prior to 1921 and those who cannot use Direct Express prepaid cards.
