Pacific Island Pelagic Fisheries; 2016 U.S. Territorial Longline Bigeye Tuna Catch Limits

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has set a 2016 limit of 2,000 metric tons of longline-caught bigeye tuna for each U.S. participating territory, including American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The limit allows each territory to allocate up to 1,000 metric tons to U.S. longline fishing vessels under a valid specified fishing agreement.
