Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance, 2016

The United States government designated September 11, 2016, as Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and to promote national service and remembrance. The designation was made in response to the 9/11 Memorial Foundation's request to Congress.
