National Cancer Institute to Grant Exclusive Patent License to MedGene for Cancer Treatment

The National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, is considering granting MedGene Therapeutics, Inc., a biotech company based in Bethesda, MD, an exclusive patent license to develop and use a new cancer treatment involving autologous tumor-reactive T cells isolated from peripheral blood, primarily for treating metastatic follicular thyroid cancer and soft tissue sarcomas.
