Surface Transportation Board Withdraws Rulemaking on Class I Railroad Accounting and Financial Reporting for Hazardous Materials

The Surface Transportation Board has withdrawn its proposal to update Class I rail carriers' accounting and financial reporting to better capture the operating costs of transporting hazardous materials, effectively discontinuing the rulemaking process.
