NMFS Modifies Observer Coverage Requirements for Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Trawl Catcher Vessels

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued regulations to modify observer coverage requirements for trawl catcher vessels participating in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area's limited access fisheries, allowing vessel owners to request full observer coverage on an annual basis to alleviate reporting and fee liability.
