HUD Revises Insurance Industry Comments on Fair Housing Act's Discriminatory Effects Standard

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has decided not to grant exemptions or safe harbors from liability under the Fair Housing Act's discriminatory effects standard to insurance companies, following industry comments and a court ruling. HUD will continue to address concerns on a case-by-case basis.
