FMCSA Eases Transition of Military Personnel into Civilian Commercial Driving Careers
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has amended its commercial driver's license (CDL) regulations to simplify the process of obtaining a CDL for military personnel transitioning to civilian careers driving commercial motor vehicles (CMVs). The changes allow active duty military personnel stationed in a state to apply for a CDL and require states to transmit test results electronically to the military personnel's state of domicile.
