FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for Aircraft with BRP-Powertrain 912 A Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for aircraft equipped with BRP-Powertrain GmbH & Co KG 912 A series engines, following a mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) from another country that identifies a manufacturing defect in carburetor floats, which could lead to engine shutdown and forced landing.
