SEC Amends Class Exemption for Release of Claims and Extensions of Credit in Litigation

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has adopted an amendment to the Class Exemption for the Release of Claims and Extensions of Credit in Connection With Litigation (PTE 2003-39), expanding the categories of assets that may be accepted by retirement plans in settlement of litigation, subject to certain conditions.
