FMCSA Establishes Commercial Driver's License Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has amended its regulations to create a database, known as the Commercial Driver's License Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, which will track violations of the agency's drug and alcohol testing program for commercial driver's license holders. This new system aims to enhance road safety by identifying drivers who have committed drug and alcohol-related offenses, making them ineligible to operate commercial vehicles.
