US Establishes Import Monitoring Program for Seafood Under Magnuson-Stevens Act

The US government has implemented a new program to monitor the importation of seafood at risk of IUU fishing or seafood fraud, in compliance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act. The program uses the International Trade Data System and Automated Commercial Environment to collect catch and landing documentation through electronic submission.
