NMFS Establishes Commercial Retention Limit for Blacknose Sharks and Non-Blacknose Small Coastal Sharks in the Atlantic Region

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has set a commercial retention limit of eight blacknose sharks for Atlantic shark limited access permit holders in the region south of 34°00' N. latitude, aiming to reduce discards of non-blacknose small coastal sharks and rebuild the Atlantic blacknose shark population.
