EPA Publishes Initial List of 10 Chemical Substances for Risk Evaluations Under Toxic Substances Control Act
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published an initial list of 10 chemical substances that will undergo risk evaluations to determine if they pose an unreasonable risk to human health or the environment, as required by the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The list was published 180 days after enactment, in compliance with the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, and will be followed by scoping documents and risk evaluations for each substance.
