NMFS Modifies Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Quota Program to Optimize Fishing Opportunity

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has made changes to the Atlantic highly migratory species regulations to allow for inseason transfers of quota to qualified vessels, with the goal of improving the functioning of the Individual Bluefin Quota Program and enhancing fishing opportunities for species like tuna and swordfish.
