US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of Tier 1 of the generic design control document for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, allowing for changes to be made concurrently with License Amendment No. 63.
