US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant
The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant's Tier 1 design control document, allowing the plant to proceed with changes to its Automatic Depressurization System Stage 2, 3 & 4 Valve Flow Area Changes and Clarifications.
