US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Design Changes

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant's Tier 1 design control document, allowing for changes to the plant's radiologically controlled area ventilation system, as part of License Amendment No. 57 to Combined Licenses NPF-91 and NPF-92.
