NRC Proposes Amendment to Spent Fuel Storage Regulations for Holtec HI-STORM System

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is proposing to update its regulations for storing spent nuclear fuel, specifically the Holtec HI-STORM Flood/Wind Multipurpose Canister Storage System, to include a new amendment that allows for burnup credit for certain fuel types and revises existing conditions.
