NRC Takes Action Against Nuclear Plant Safety Components

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has responded to a petition filed by Beyond Nuclear and public interest groups, requesting the agency to take action against nuclear plant licensees that rely on potentially defective safety components and falsified quality assurance documentation from AREVA-Le Creusot Forge and its subcontractor, Japan Casting and Forging Corporation.
