U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Renewal of Spent Fuel Storage Cask System

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has confirmed the effective date of September 20, 2017, for a direct final rule that extends the initial certificate and Amendment Nos. 1-6 of Certificate of Compliance No. 1007 for the EnergySolutions Corporation's VSC-24 Ventilated Storage Cask System for an additional 40 years.
