U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes 40-Year Renewal of Spent Fuel Storage Regulations for NUHOMS System

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to extend the approval of the Standardized NUHOMS Horizontal Modular Storage System for an additional 40 years, requiring evaluations of aging management activities and written procedures for each AMP described in the AREVA Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR).
