NRC Grants Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is granting an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc., and its licensees to deviate from the certification information of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 3 and 4, allowing for changes to the plant's design. This exemption is part of a License Amendment, issued concurrently with the exemption, to allow for the construction and operation of the plant.
