DoD, GSA, and NASA Propose Amendment to Federal Acquisition Regulation for Expanded Emergency Procurement Authorities

The Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are proposing to update the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to include provisions from the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017, which would grant expanded special emergency procurement authorities for acquiring supplies or services related to defense against cyber attacks, international disaster assistance, and response to emergencies or major disasters.
