Regulations for Handling Retaliation Complaints Under the National Transit Systems Security Act and the Federal Railroad Safety Act
The U.S. government has released new rules outlining procedures for addressing retaliation complaints under two federal laws, the National Transit Systems Security Act and the Federal Railroad Safety Act. The rules, which went into effect on August 3, 2007, and were amended on October 16, 2008, provide a framework for employees to file complaints with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and for OSHA to investigate and resolve these complaints.
