FCC Establishes Procedures for Review of FirstNet State Opt-Out Requests

The Federal Communications Commission has released a report outlining the procedures for reviewing state opt-out requests from the FirstNet radio access network, which was licensed nationwide in 2012 under the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act. The FCC will evaluate state opt-out applications based on specific standards outlined in the Public Safety Spectrum Act.
