FDA Confirms Effective Date for Color Additive Rule for UHMWPE Sutures

The Food and Drug Administration has confirmed the effective date of July 10, 2018, for a final rule that allows the safe use of D&C Black No. 4 for coloring ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene non-absorbable sutures used in general surgery.
