FDA Releases Draft Guidance for Blood Donors Deferred Due to False Positive HTLV-I/II Test Results

The FDA has made available a draft document outlining recommendations for blood establishments to requalify deferred blood donors who initially tested positive for antibodies to Human T-Lymphotropic Virus Types I and II due to a false positive test result.
