FDA Amends Food Additive Regulations to Ban Styrene Use

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is removing styrene from food additive regulations, following a petition from the Styrene Information and Research Center (SIRC), due to its abandonment of uses as a flavoring substance and adjuvant in food.
