U.S. Extends Temporary Protected Status for Nicaragua for 18 Months

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has extended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Nicaragua for 18 months, from July 6, 2016, through January 5, 2018, allowing currently eligible beneficiaries to retain their status until January 5, 2018, as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
