US Department of Homeland Security Extends and Redesignates Syria for Temporary Protected Status

The US Department of Homeland Security has extended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Syria for 18 months, from October 1, 2016 through March 31, 2018, and redesignated the country for TPS, allowing additional individuals to obtain the status if they have been continuously residing in the US since August 1, 2016.
