Coast Guard Issues Temporary Bridge Closure to Prevent Bridge Failure and Emergency Repairs

The Coast Guard has temporarily altered the operating schedule of the Gilmerton (US13/460) Bridge across the South Branch of the Elizabeth River in Chesapeake, VA, to prevent bridge failure and facilitate emergency repairs, allowing the bridge to remain closed to navigation.
