U.S. and Canada Implement Additional Protocol for Refugee Status Claims

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Justice have amended their regulations to implement the 2022 Additional Protocol to the 2002 U.S.-Canada Agreement for Cooperation in the Examination of Refugee Status Claims From Nationals of Third Countries, a deal signed by the U.S. and Canada in 2022.
