Management of Quotas for Controlled Substances and List I Chemicals

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is publishing a final rule to manage quotas for controlled substances and List I chemicals, including ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and phenylpropanolamine, by clarifying requirements, reducing inventories, and updating deadlines. The rule aims to implement updates to the Controlled Substances Act as part of the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery Treatment for Patients and Communities Act.
