U.S. Department of Defense Corrects Inventory of Native American Human Remains and Associated Funerary Objects

The U.S. Department of Defense has corrected an inventory of Native American human remains and associated funerary objects, originally published in two Federal Register notices in 2002 and 2015, and now requires lineal descendants or representatives of eligible tribes to submit a written request to transfer control of the remains and objects.
