Bureau of Land Management Adopts Rule to Adjust Civil Penalties for Onshore Oil and Gas Operations

The Bureau of Land Management has issued an interim final rule to adjust civil monetary penalties for onshore oil and gas operations, in accordance with the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015, to keep pace with inflation and ensure consistency with Office of Management and Budget guidance.
