BOEM Announces Atlantic Wind Lease Sale 7 for Commercial Leasing of Wind Power Offshore North Carolina

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is proposing the sale of a commercial wind energy lease on the Outer Continental Shelf offshore Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, through an ascending-bid auction. The public is invited to comment on the proposed lease during a 60-day period, and the lease winner will be required to submit project-specific plans for environmental and technical review before development can proceed.
