Commodity Futures Trading Commission Excludes Farm Credit System Institutions From Definition of Commodity Trading Advisor

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has issued an order excluding institutions in the Farm Credit System from the definition of commodity trading advisor, citing that these institutions primarily engage in lending to U.S. farmers and ranchers, and that any commodity trading advice provided is incidental to their lending conduct.
