USDA Amends Organic Livestock and Poultry Production Requirements

The United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has updated its organic livestock and poultry production standards to improve animal welfare and handling practices, including new requirements for slaughter and transport, and expanded existing rules for animal care and living conditions.
