NOP Sunset 2017 Amendments to the National List: Comment Period Extended

The US Department of Agriculture has extended the comment period for proposed rule changes to the National Organic Program (NOP) until April 19, 2017, following recommendations from the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) submitted in October 2015. The proposed rule aims to remove eleven substances from the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances for use in organic production and handling.
