The Tonto National Forest is developing an Environmental Impact Statement to assess the potential environmental impacts of approving the Pinto Valley Mining Corp.'s Mining Plan of Operations for the expansion of the Pinto Valley Mine, a copper and molybdenum open-pit mine, in Gila County, Arizona.
